Are you prepating to pack up your bathroom? It may be one of the smallest rooms in your home, but it has a lot of items to consider. Here I give you some tips for packing up your bathroom to make it easier on you.
Just like our first blog post – Preparing To Move – my first tip for the bathroom would be to Declutter. Throw out items that may be out of date, damaged or dried out. This includes medications, make up, cosmetics, cleaning supplies and appliances.
Use up half empty bottles before you move to condense the amount of bathroom items you have to move. For bottles that will be moved, open them, squeeze extra air out, place a piece of cellophane over the opening and then close tightly. This will help with reducing spills. Place the bottles in grocery or zipper bags to limit possible messes.
Recycle older towels by cutting them into cleaning rags. Or use to help you pack your breakable items in our Totes. Or they can be helpful to keep cleaning supplies and other bottles that are packed upright in the totes secure.
Remember, if you are using a local moving company, you may not be allowed to pack and move your cleaning supplies in their vehicle. Check with them just to make sure of their policies before packing your bathroom cleaning supplies.
Last but not least, pack the items you will need the least first and the items you will need the most last. For me, I prefer to pack up my decor items first & my bathroom cleaning supplies last. This will help ensure that your essentials are available when as you need them.
I hope these tips for packing your bathroom help make your upcoming move easier and more efficient.
